Bill–Greg–Ted,In this mornings newspaper (The Dallas Morning News), I read more about Byron Nelson’s life. The article went on and on about his humility, his encouragement, and his overall character. How refreshing in an age like ours in which self-absorbed celebrities seem to rule the news.

Good to hear of such a good man. One who truly practiced what he preached. And indeed preached through what he practiced.
This should surely be the goal of how our lives are marked. That we are like Jesus. And we help others to faith in Jesus.

Thank you for this fitting tribute to another one of God’s humble servants. As I noted in a comment on Bobby and Tamie’s blog, he was truly a man of dignity and grace. In my opinion, people like him put "the greatest" in Browkaw’s "The Greatest Generation". -bill

I equate golf with those other fascinating sports of watching paint dry and grass grow, however, we lost a wonderful man in the death of Byron Nelson. The comments on his life and character are, indeed, impressive and humbling.
