Jim you have a great wisdow How important is a friend! I am reading the story of David and Jonathan's Friendship. I was crying in the last part of it when Jonathan showed the genuine loved and care for David that HE wont allow harm for a Friend like HIM. I am crying because the vow or covenant was there and David forgot for a while but not to neglect that HE showed His genuine love when Jonathan son Mephiboshet dine in King Davids temple that i would say its now the turn of David to show kindness to Jonathan by showing it to his family remnant. Well, i believed that there is no Greater LOve and Concerns than to lay down a life for a Friend and that is JESUS who gave HIS life for us and treat us friend. We hurt Him sometimes, but surely HE never fail when HE said i will never leave you nor forsake you. What more this friend can give to us HE already gave his life for us... God bless Jim..... I do hope and pray that i will be one of your friend.... Phonny Jorquia

This is probably too long, but I'll send it anyways! Totally agree with you!KINDRED SPIRITSGod sends us special and intimate friends,To walk through our valleys with us.A kindred spirit knit by HIM to our heartSomeone we know we can trust. You never need beg this friend for a favor,You’re never a burden, a problem, or pain.“Whatever you say, I will do for you.”Willing to sacrifice without personal gain. You are always defended, if need be, to others,There’s devotion and loyalty for all to see. Those who malign or speak ill are rebuked. There’s no pettiness, envy or jealousy. You need never explain why you do what you do.You’ll always be heard when life’s causing you painIn all situations you can be yourself,There’s great understanding when you’re hurting again. There’s also courage to speak correction,To help each other mature and to grow.Where one is weaker, the other is stronger,But they bring out the best in each other, you know. When you’re at your lowest, you’re frightened, you’re angryWords of encouragement freely flow from this friend. In prayer for each other your lives are enriched. With Christ at its center, such a friendship won’t end.Praise God for the friends He has brought into my life. Each one unique, a dear, cherished treasure.A kindred spirit, however, is special and rare. Its value and worth, only God can measure.
I'm really enjoying your blog. I too am thankful for the friends who have shaped my life through various seasons. I like how you looked at friends as walking ahead, with, present and beside you - great thoughts. Friendships truly are gifts to hold lightly and cherish, something I haven't always done so well.
